Hello everyone! I had a crafty weekend and finally got around to play with the new release from Pebbles, the Birthday Wishes Collection!

Products used are linked at the end of this post.

As a design team member, I’ve had this happy collection in my stash for a little while. I’m so excited that we finally get to share our projects! I have a card, a tag and a technique to share today!

Paper Pieced Birthday Card

I love the two little stamps in this collection. They are just perfect for the paper piecing technique.

I first die cut a window from my card base. I used Waffle Flower’s brand new Surface – Tag Die – Starter Kit. I used a ruler to help me place it straight on paper and then used a piece of washi tape to hold the die in place while running it through the diecut machine.

I then used the Surface – Tag Die – Scallop Add-on to create the scallop border for the window.

I saved all the pieces that the die cut out for multiple projects.

When you are designing the product yourself, you will want to make sure that it works with the supplies you have, right? Well, my little foam squares fit right in the scallops for mounting!

When my window was ready, I traced the tag die on a piece of scrap paper to guide my stamping.

I used the guideline to help me stamp the presents in a straight line and position them all within the window.

I then stamped the same presents on three different patterned paper from the Birthday Wishes 12×12 collection paper pad.

Cut the little squares out to “piece” them to the white base. Remember to cut “in” the line.

Ink the edges with a black brush tip marker for a “professional look”.

Remove the pencil guideline and apply glue. Leave a little room around the edge for the glue to expand when pressing down the paper.

I used the stamp index sheet to help me position the sentiment. I left the pink “happy happy” sentiment out from my finished project to let the stamping stand out.

Here is a closeup of the paper pieced presents. Fun, right?

Scallop Birthday Tag

The scallop birthday tag was put together very quickly. I used the leftover die cutting pieces to make the tag base. Then I Punched a hole to thread the ribbon through and secured it with a stapler.

I then added the rosette flower embellishment. The sentiment was cut out from a patterned paper from the same Birthday Wishes Paper Pad.

Adhered it to a gift box wrapped with a chalkboard look paper from the same collection and I was done!

Don’t you love the colors and patterns? Pebbles is my favorite. My design team term with them will end soon but I will continue to use their products for sure.
